Is white belt better than black?
The more common colors we encounter are white and black. If white represents the entry level, black represents the true expert with the highest rank. Yellow, orange, red, green, blue are some other belt colors.
Can white belts compete?
There is no best competitor for a white belt. Some white belts will want to compete right away in the biggest competition they can find, which is usually an IBJJF competition. Others may want to start at an in-house competition where they have the support of their regular training partners.
